Covers Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw is one of the few Owlcrate books I've received, so the cover is white and not black like the regular edition (and has blue sprayed edges). I find both versions are equally beautiful; perhaps the black one lends a more forbidding and mysterious sense since it's like being out in the dead of night under the moon amid eerie bare trees. The white edition is more neutral and focuses on the beauty of the cover art. It's like the Owlcrate version of The Bone Houses where they changed it from black to white, removing some of the scariness from the cover. Show your  support for books and reading . However, those of us who have read the classic yellow hardback series know how Nancy and her origin was more or less written (several of the original stories from the 30s were rewritten a few times over the decades, so the yellow hardbacks we have today are not 100% original).  I am an avid Nancy Drew fan and reviewed the 2002 Disney movie of Nancy Drew where she's in college. This new 2019 iteration of the sleuth has Nancy hanging out with her friends Bess and George in one of the lower high school levels. We learn early on that Nancy used to see them only during summers. In the Woods by Tana French is Book 1 of the Dublin Murder Squad series and takes place in the mid-late 90s. This story has cellphones, but it has the 90s essence I remember; we were on the cusp of impressive technological advancements. The internet was only just picking up speed compared to what it is today. Why was I thinking about this while reading the book? Well, at the time, I had just discovered Stuart Mackey on TikTok through a duet with another content creator, Queen Astraea . And like with DannyPhantom.Exe , I have a few similarities and interests in common with Stuart.
